Leaving a Legacy
Before I get out of bed,
My aspirations, well fed,
Look out the window to the sky,
Wondering what happens after goodbye.
What shall I leave behind?
For others who have been so kind,
How shall I remain?
My values shall not be in vain.
At work, helping as I can,
Trying to be the best man,
My personal time also spent,
Making sure no one is discontent.
For my legacy defines me,
Spreading like roots in a tree,
Filling me with much glee,
To showcase who I want to be.
To showcase who I want to be,
Filling me with much glee.
Spreading like roots in a tree,
For my legacy defines me.
Making sure no one is discontent,
My personal time also spent.
Trying to be the best man,
At work, helping as I can.
My values shall not be in vain.
How shall I remain?
For others who have been so kind,
What shall I leave behind?
Wondering what happens after goodbye,
Look out the window to the sky,
My aspirations, well fed,
Before I get out of bed.
