2022 Spring All-Teen Issue Guest Editors

Japman Kaur Aneja is a 16-year-old high school junior in Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, India. With a passion for the English language, she has served as Poetry Literary Apprentice at Break Bread Magazine and Poetry Staff Reader at The Maine Review magazine. A fan of metaphorical and descriptive writing, she believes that literature is the basis of the human spirit that thrives within us. Her greatest zeal is to read literary work by people from diverse backgrounds. 

Mikah Carson is a 14-year-old teen editor from Rancho Cucamonga, California. She is a former editor of The Day Creek Howl, a ten-year soccer player, and a pianist from age five. Carson has a strong passion for writing and loves English. She also participates in the advanced treble choir at Los Osos High School. She loves Jesus, reading, and hanging out with her friends and family. She is so excited to see where life leads her in these coming years!

Thanisha Chowdhury is a 16-year-old writer from Virginia. She attends Thomas Jefferson High School and is the cofounder and Editor-In-Chief of Paper Crane Journal. She enjoys reading, crocheting, and going for long walks.

Ariana Duckett is a 17-year-old writer from Los Gatos High School in Northern California. She has been the Editor-in-Chief of two magazines, published in several others, and will be studying writing and literature at UC Santa Barbara in the fall.

Tanvi Jeph is a 14-year-old Student, writer & poet. Many of her poems have been published on national and international sites. She has also launched her own lit mag in April 2022, The Dried Review. She is currently the editor of The Affair Magazine, SeaGlass Lit Magazine, YJSR and Polyphony lit

Zoe Leonard is a 17-year-old student at John F. Kennedy Middle College. They live in Corona, California. When they’re not studying, they enjoy writing, roller skating, and playing video games.

Helen Rivas is a 14 year old high school student and aspiring writer from Fontana, California. She has entered past contests and has worked hard to achieve their dream of becoming a writer.

Ash Romero is a 17-year-old poet attending Murrieta Mesa High School in Murrieta, California. Previously published in the Inland Empire Teen Poet Laureate Chapbook and The WEIGHT online poetry journal, he believes in the power of poetry to convey the complexity of human experience.

Shriya Roy is a 14-year-old writer/composer from Highland, California, attending Beattie Middle School. She started writing in second grade and has never stopped. Her work has appeared in literary journals Stone Soup, Girls Right the World, Celtic Literary Review, Howl, Cholla Needles, and Inlandia: A Literary Journey. She is also a passionate musician with training in piano and violin, reaching the California state level in the Reflections competition for music composition. 

Sophia Sohn is 15 years old and attends La Quinta High School in Southern California. 

Piper Summer is a 17-year-old student, avid poetry reader, and returning teen guest editor from Phoenix, Arizona.

Nikki Velarde is a high school student from Indio, California.

Katie Xin is a 15-year-old poet in progress at Palm Desert High School in Palm Desert, California. She is Riverside County’s Inaugural Teen Poet Laureate. Xin can be found in the nooks of an obscure book (impulse), dredging through her homework (sloth), or contemplating her life trajectory while exploring (always). Her favorite part of being a teen editor? Basking in the wonder of her peers.
